Matt Rackauckas’ aviation experience dates back to his high school days, working line service, washing aircraft and spending countless hours around the airport learning the nuances of the business. Matt’s aviation career took flight in the mid 1980’s when he earned his private pilot license and began flying single engine and light twin aircraft. Over the course of twenty-plus years, he earned his A&P License, was a certified flight instructor, and began flying Lear Jets and Gulfstream aircraft. He has experience in several management roles since 1998 including Director of Training, Safety Officer, and Chief Pilot. Garnering a large part of his Part 135 experience working for the former Prime Jet as Chief Pilot from 2003 to 2009. He has flown over 4,000 hours in Gulfstreams and traveled the world with more than 10,000 hours of flight time.
